West Africa
West Africa is a diverse region of more than 400 million people, home to countless cultures, languages, and communities. Across the region, many people live in poverty and face limited access to quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunity. In addition, Christians in West Africa are a small minority and face significant pressure and persecution because of their faith. Because of the sensitivity surrounding Christian ministry in this region, Bethlehem Christian Academy refers to our work here simply as West Africa. Our schools in West Africa are located within the 10/40 Window, a region of the world where the least-reached people groups live. In many communities, children grow up facing significant economic and social challenges, making access to education and other basic opportunities especially important.
